did you find that you tended to find yourself alone, without many people to talk to, or were you generally able to chit-chat with the "friends" at the hall?
The last few years, after my divorce, I was shunned from within the hall. I would go, hang around after for a few minutes by myself, looking like an idiot standing there, then go home. I tried to strike up conversations, but nobody wanted to say more than a quick hello. At that point, I didn't have much in common with these people anyway, so it was awkward.

fyi - theres'a big news story (ap) out of toronto today about an international crackdown on child porn.
apparently, thanks to the internet, they have been able to trace thousands of people.
yippee!
Wouldn't it be priceless if they tracked down some of these people and they happened to be at Bethel?

crisis of conscience has just been delivered by mail to my office.
i wouldn't dare let it be delivered to home in case my wife found out.. i am still "in", so the question is, should i read it?
and if so, are my days as a jw numbered?.
The first time I ever saw it (or even heard of it) was at the public library. I snuck it to a back corner, and spend hours reading it. Of course I had something there to cover it up in case a JW walked by. If I remember correctly, there was a JW librarian that worked there, so it was especially risky.

for me the most boring activity is filling out income tax forms.
i find the most boring person is the dali lama.
just looking at him makes me feel bored.
Seeing long-winded posts on this forum that are on the same old subjects (607, UN etc) How many times can you beat a dead horse??

now that my decision to leave the organization is made, there is definitely a sense of relief.
i know i'm leaving a controlling organization, not my faith in god.
so i'm still praying at various times during the day, but it has become a very odd thing now.
Hi Introspection,
Do you know Roy M.?

what is the deal with field service.
you know i'm doing that slow fade thang (really slow).
but i was at the meeting sunday (the only meeting i attend).
At one of the last meetings I ever attended the speaker made the comment that we could be doing everything we are suppose to, such as meeting attendance, living a moral life, personal study etc., but if we do not engage in the field service, it is all a waste of time. Since I refused to go to my neighbors and willing lie to them to sell this cult, I figured why waste my time with the rest of it.

why does the watchtower have to print so many different magazines every two weeks?
the truth is out since over 2000 years, and the truth didn't change since the time of jesus.
so why does the watchtower have to give us the latest version of the truth every 2 weeks?
Its a great scam. Make the publishers contribute for the mags when they pick them up, and then make them fork over any contributions they get out in the field. Oh ya, have the publishers use their own vehicles and gas too. As payment to publishers, we'll let them count the time.

lately is observed some small growth in wts troops.
any idea what is causing it?
i've heard that an age of baptized new members has dropped and 9/11 makes an impact.
Falsified records? Who could ever prove those numbers were faked?
